Spore now available for PC download

But you can't play it yet

The release of Spore in around a week's time has been one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year, and if you really can't wait to get your hands on it, it's available to download now from the EA Store.

No, no. You can't actually play it yet. But if you're fingers are itching to pay for the game and you really can't wait a whole week to have it in your possession, then the option is there for you.

Come the 5th September, it will take just half an hour for the game to decrypt so you can play it.

Unfortunately this option is only available for PC users, so Mac users will have to wait until the game is released. The game is priced at £39.99.
