Gearbox behind Halo 4?

The rumour mill hottens up

27 August 2008 14:26 GMT / By Verity Burns

Rumours are swirling the internet today that Gearbox, the developers of Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, could well be the studio behind Halo 4.

There have even been suggestions that the title is being developed for release alongside the next Xbox hardware.

The rumour apparently comes from the North American Official Xbox Magazine, which certainly gives it a little more credibility, while Randy Pitchford, head of Gearbox, has already hinted that they were working on a big new title.

Speaking earlier this year, Pitchford said: "It’s, like, look-at-our-line-up-and-imagine-something-even-bigger kind of big. I’m directing it myself. I can’t mention it publicly yet. When you find out what this is, you’ll likely agree that I can’t oversell this one."
