Marvel boss confirms new Marvel vs. Capcom game

But that's about all we know

28 July 2008 14:43 GMT / By Verity Burns

Marvel Productions boss Kevin Feige has confirmed that the company is working to produce another game in its fighting series with Capcom.

When asked at Comic Con 2008 if we could expect anything more from the franchise, Feige simply replied: "Yes. And maybe sooner than you think."

How nice to get a straight answer for a change. The popular series saw Capcom favourites, such as Ryu, thrown into the ring with Marvel superheroes like Wolverine. However, we haven't seen anything from it since the last release in 2002.

Little else is known about the project, such as platforms and dates, but hopefully more details will emerge in the near future.

No comment from Capcom as yet either, but we're sure Marvel Productions wouldn't tell fibs.
