God of War 3 Announced for PS3

But won't be around until next year at least

God of War 3 is heading for PS3, Sony have finally confirmed.

The PS2 and PSP favourite franchise will head for the next-gen console of the family sometime next year, although no exact release date was given.

After confirming the news during Sony's E3 press conference, Jack Tretton, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America, introduced the world premiere trailer of the upcoming title.

It was only short, but pretty impressive, showing Kratos - midst destruction - shouting "in the end, there will only be chaos". Oh-er.

No more news apart from that we're afraid, but we'll keep our ear to the ground and keep you posted.
