Samba De Amigo nearly here for Wii

Get ready to shake your maracas

Samba De Amigo was a hit when it first arrived on the Dreamcast a few years ago. Now the game that wants you to shake your maracas is heading for the Wii and is bound to be another surefire favourite for house parties everywhere.

The game comes with maraca attachments that click onto the Wii-Mote and Nunchuk, and come with authentic maraca sounds so you feel like your shaking the real thing.

If you didn't have the Dreamcast version, or have the pleasure to play it at any point, it's pretty simple. Think Guitar Hero with maracas - simply shake the Wiimote to the beat by following the blue dots on the screen.

At the moment there’s no word on the full track list, but if its previous version is anything to go by, you can expect it to be filled with tracks with a raucous Latin energy.

Release date is tipped for August.
