More Spore news for you, and it seems gamers really are looking forward to the release of the universe-creating game.More than one million creatures have been created and shared using the Spore Creature Creator demo in the first week of it being available.
We've seen walking pears, giant dragons and aliens of all shapes and sizes - you can check them all out at the Spore website, Sporepedia, and also download your own copy of the Creature Creator if you haven't got hold of it yet.
The Spore Creature Creator is a stand-alone product that features 25% of the creature-making parts from Spore, letting you shape, paint and play with custom-created creatures. Anything you make will be able to be imported to the full version of Spore when it is released later this year.
The millionth creature was created by user FlamingChidori and was named, "Sapiusgeenus" - a two-legged green creature that the creator described as "one of my favorites so far".
Lucy Bradshaw, executive producer of Spore at Maxis. "I'm amazed at the creations I see getting uploaded to the Sporepedia, whether it’s a realistic looking bird or animal, a 10-eyed alien, or something completely bizarre and unexpected like a creature that looks like a motorcycle, it's clear that people have an innate desire to be creative, and we're thrilled to help them express themselves."
