PS Network downtime planned

Six hours offline for "scheduled maintenance"

All you PlayStation Network users, listen up. Sony has announced that the PSN will be taken offline later today in order for "scheduled maintenance" to take place.

There will be a fair chunk of time taken away from gamers, but no doubt it's all to make the user experience better, so be patient kids.

According to PlayStation.com, the PSN will be down between 8am and 2pm PST. Unfortunately, that means between the more social hours of 4pm and 10pm in ol' Blighty.

During these times you won't be able to visit the PlayStation Store, or play games online.
