It seems Bioshock fans can be sure they'll have plenty to play for some time yet, as Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick has let slip plans for a Bioshock 3 - even though the second instalment of the franchise isn't out until the end of the year.Speaking to investors in a conference call, Zelnick spoke of BioShock 3 in response to a question about the timing of the BioShock film, set to be directed by Pirates of the Caribbean's Gore Verbinski.
"It's unlikely that the picture would be released to coincide with BioShock 2," said Zelnick. "It would be more likely that it would be released coincidentally with BioShock 3. That also remains to be seen."
All this talk of the future and we still don't know which platforms Take-Two is targeting with BioShock 2, which is expected in between August and October."
The original BioShock was recently confirmed as being in development for PS3 after long-being an Xbox 360 console exclusive (although it was also available on the PC). Whether the second and third instalments will expand to target all three audiences at once remains to be seen.
