EA halt work on Red Alert PS3

No word on if it will ever resume

EA has announced it has halted work on its first PS3 real-time strategy game, Red Alert 3.

The build queue has definitely been paused, but EA wouldn't give any more information as to why, or if production would ever start again.

The Xbox 360 and PC versions are still going strong however, and will no doubt benefit from the refocused development resources.

The plan remains to release the third Red Alert installment on these two in the autumn. Unfortunately, the future is slightly more hazy for the PS3 version.

We'll keep you updated with any news on the game's progress.
