Cook up a storm with your Nintendo DS

New game brings out the chef in you

If you wouldn't really list cooking as one of your strengths and you can never be bothered with reading recipe books for inspiration, a new game for Nintendo DS could give you a helping hand with your culinary skills.

Cooking Guide: Can't Decide What To Eat? features 250 dishes from across the world, and will give you step by step instructions on how to make them.

You can search for dishes by country, ingredient, difficulty level or even the amount of calories. Once you have chosen your meal, the Cooking Guide chef will take you through each step.

A great touch is that as your hands will be busy, the game is controlled by you speaking into the microphone to move onto the next step or to repeat the current one.

Other little features include the ability to store shopping lists for supermarket trips, a built-in timer and a cooking A-Z that provides in-depth illustrated details on everything from chopping techniques to cooking terminology.

The game is due for release on 20 June for around £30.
