MGS 4 will not be the end of the franchise

Say goodbye to Snake, but not to the series

Metal Gear Solid fans may have been fooled into thinking that the forthcoming instalment, Guns of the Patriots was to be the last in the series.

However, associate producer on the game Ryan Payton has confirmed that the MGS franchise will return in the future, but that it would be without Solid Snake.

He said:"I think there's been some misconceptions that this is the last 'Metal Gear. This is really just the last chapter of the saga of the Solid Snake story".

As for what the developers have in store though, no word as yet. But you can be sure that as soon as we hear anything, we'll update you.
