Ubisoft has announced that they are currently working on a new Prince of Persia game, scheduled for release towards the end of 2008.The new chapter in the franchise will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC and marks the debut of the Prince on next-generation consoles.
Developed by Ubisoft's award-winning Montreal studio and the same team that created the Prince of Persia Sands of Time trilogy, the new game is poised to smash into the action-adventure market, while at the same time introduce a brand-new illustrative art style.
Ubisoft also announced that a new Prince of Persia game designed specifically for the Nintendo DS was in the pipeline. It will feature an entirely new storyline and brand-spanking characters. More on that when we get it.
First released in 2003, Prince of Persia has been a popular choice among gamers and critics alike, with 30 awards under its belt and a total sales count of approximately 10.3 million worldwide. Ubisoft are no doubt hoping that this success will continue with the new release at the end of 2008. Gaming, PS3, Xbox 360, PC games, Ubisoft, Nintendo DS, Ghostbusters, Sierra, Crash Bandicoot
