Taking a leaf out of Radiohead's book, RCP Tones' latest mobile phone ringtone album is being offered on a "pay what you want" basis.

The "Electronic Ringtones Volume 1", a collection of 45 tones recorded on recorded vintage synthesizers, is said to be designed for the latest mobile phones, including a set "mastered specifically" for Apple's iPhone.

Purchasers can pay any price from $0.00 up to $8.99 with RCP asking: "If you download the ringtones for free, we ask that you send an email to friends about rcptones.com or spread the word in some way".

The pay what you fancy tones are available now on the RCP site, as well as via iTunes and Amazon - but only if you want to pay full whack.
