Sony Ericsson C903 rumoured for Feb launch

Mid-range mobile is cut-down C905

News of at least one new handset to be launched at February's Mobile World Congress has leaked on the Internet.

As well as Ballmer's press conference and Palm's Pre news, it seems phone fans can look forward to news of a new Cyber-shot branded camera phone from Sony Ericsson.

Taking the "less is more" (or maybe - "we're all poor") approach the C903 will be a cut-down version of Sony Ericsson's 8-megapixel C905.

Codenamed Frances, the handset is a slider with a 5-megapixel camera and autofocus as well as photo-related techs such as PhotoFix, face detection and smile shutter.

Other rumoured specs include a 2.4-inch screen and aGPS and it's said to be due to launch in two colours at the end of Q2 2009.
