PC users envious of their Mac friends' ultra small Mac mini, need no longer be. Evesham Technology has launched a Windows-based PC in a tiny form factor to match the desktop model from Apple.
Called the Evesham Mini, the unit looks almost identical to the Mac mini and will be small enough to hold in the palm of your hand (16x16x5cm) and cased in brushed aluminium.
The company has packed the desktop model with an Intel Celeron M Processor 360 and it will come with 512Mb of DDR 2 RAM 533Mhz, as well as a 40Gb hard drive.
The unit will also ship with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 so users can stash it away underneath their TV sets, something that the Mac mini's software currently doesn't offer.
Users will be able to upgrade the unit to include an 80Gb hard drive, as well as adding a wireless LAN card and digital and analogue TV tuner.
Like the Mac mini the computer is sold without keyboard mouse or monitor and will cost £499 to £699
