Apple's white 13-inch MacBook has been refreshed in the US with the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card replacing the Intel GMA X3100 graphics card.

The laptop's memory has also been upgraded to 2GB of DDR2 memory although it seems to have received a downgrade in speed at 2.0GHz, rather than 2.1GHz. In the States the "new" white MacBook is on sale for $999.

The white MacBook in Apple's online UK store has not yet received the update and is currently offered for £704 - so best to hang on if you were planning an imminent purchase.

UPDATE: The UK online store has now been refreshed with the "new" model and - a new price tag. The white MacBook now costs £719.00 for UK customers.
