Microsoft's 3D Photosynth of Obama's Oath revealed

21 January 2009 9:47 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

Microsoft's Photosynth team has been hard at work stitching together photographs taken from the moment of Obama's inauguration when he took the presidential Oath.

Over on CNN's site, those who have Silverlight installed can view the mammoth 3D recreation that's complete with scrolling around and zooming abilities.

Elsewhere it seems 28,000 related photos have been uploaded to Flickr, while satellite imagery, from the company that provides the Google Earth pics, has been released to give us a bird's eye view of the big event.
