Modern mobiles "baffling" users

The modern mobile phone is apparently "baffling" the average user, reports the BBC on survey data from mobile firm Mformation.

Mformation, that makes mobile device management software, says that complex features on today's handsets are making folk "frustrated and angry".

We're not sure what phones they are buying, but 61% of those interviewed in the UK and US said setting up a new handset is "as challenging as moving bank accounts".

85% said they were frustrated by the difficulty of getting a new phone up and working while 95% said they would be more likely to try new services if phones were easier to set up.

And, it seems the majority of the 4000 surveyed were quitters - with over 60% saying they stop using an application if they can't get it working straight away.
