As well as the recently announced "Active" model that comes bundled with a heart rate belt, Nokia is offering another version of its N79 mobile - the "Eco" option.

Although it appears nothing changes with the Nseries handset itself, the green bit comes in with Nokia shipping the phone sans charger under a "Charger not included. Proud to reuse" eco-warrior angle.

Nokia states: "We understand you don't always need another charger. So, when you buy this Nokia N79 online, it comes without one. All we're asking is that you keep hold of your old Nokia charger, and use it again. It's part of a trial to save energy and reduce waste, so it comes in a smaller box too".

In addition, the world's biggest mobile phone company will also donate £4 to WWF, the global conservation organisation.

On pre-order now, the N79 Eco, sold on a handset only basis, will set you back £319 plus a minimum of £3.99 for postage and packaging.
