CES saw the launch of Mattel's Mind Flex game, and it seems it could be the first of many as a similar product has been announced for launch in the States.

Mattel's Mind Flex game, due out in the autumn, uses brain-wave activity to move a ball through a tabletop obstacle course, while the Force Trainer, comprises of a wireless headset that reads your brain activity, translating in to physical action.

If gamers focus well enough, the "training sphere" (basically a ping pong ball) will rise in the tower.

The game is made by Uncle Milton Industries and is licensed by Star Wars firm Lucas, a move that will see the base unit come complete with Star Wars sound effects and audio clips as a gamer progresses from Padawan to Jedi.

The Force Trainer is expected to be priced around $100 when it launches in the States later this year.

"It's been a fantasy everyone has had, using The Force", says Howard Roffman, president of Lucas Licensing.
