Buffalo Technology has announced the availability of its LinkStation Mini compact NAS device in white.

With what's said to be a sleek, compact and small form factor, the LinkStation Mini is the world's first NAS product using 2.5-inch hard disks, that Buffalo claims provides users with a large capacity, low noise level and low power consumption multi-media storage device.

The white LinkStation Mini is available in either 500GB or a 1 terabyte storage capacity and comes ready with a built-in DLNA media server, iTunes compatibility and Memeo automated back-up software to protect digital data.

The white LinkStation Mini is available from January 2009 from Amazon, Dabs, eBuyer, Misco, and Play.com with a suggested retail price of £209.99 for the 500GB and £319 for the 1TBer.
