Creative has announced it is now shipping the new Vado HD pocket video cam in Europe.Creative says the thin, lightweight Vado HD is small enough to fit easily in a pocket, purse or the palm of a hand and it captures video in high definition (720p) at the touch of a button.
Apparently the only pocket video cam that combines HDMI connectivity with a supplied HDMI cable, it supports high definition output to an HDTV at up to 1080i.
There's also a precision glass lens, 2-inch colour LCD display, 8GB of built-in memory for up to two hours of HD video which is the same amount of time as the built-in rechargable battery offers.
Claiming fast and easy sharing of video on YouTube and Box.net, the cam has a built-in USB connector and can be plugged into a PC just like a thumb drive.
The Vado HD will be sold complete with software, HDMI cable, silicon skin and USB extension. Pricing is yet to be confirmed.
UPDATE: It will have an RRP of £209.99 in the UK. Cameras, Creative, Camcorders
