Sharp launches AQUOS BD-HP22U Blu-ray player
CES 2009: Profile 2.0 player for $299

Sharp has launched the slimline AQUOS Blu-ray disc player, BD-HP22U, that provides Full HD 1080p digital output.
The player supports Profile 2.0, BD-Live, that provides interactive features through an internet connection and its 2GB of USB memory.
In addition to the BD-Live, the BD-HP22U gets advanced audio decoding, AQUOS Pure Mode, and lower power consumption, quick start and a JPEG viewer.
The BD-HP22U boasts HDMI 1.3 digital output with x.v. colour, and 1920 x 1080 video at 24 frames per second output.
The player outputs advanced sound formats including Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio via HDMI and also decodes Dolby Digital Plus.
The BD-HP22U will be available in the States in May for $299.99.
