Sharp launches AQUOS HDTVs with built-in Blu-ray

Sharp has announced the US launch of the AQUOS HDTV BD Series models LC-52BD80U, LC-46BD80U, LC-42BD80U, LC-37BD60U and LC-32BD60U.
Why should you care? Well these are the world's first high-definition AQUOS LCD TV series with built-in Blu-ray disc players, that Sharp says set "a new standard for home entertainment".
The new 1080p AQUOS LCD/Blu-ray player combination claims to offer the convenience of an all-in-one home theatre solution and boasts a "Superlucent Advanced Super View (ASV) panel".
The TVs are available in 52-, 46-, 42-, 37- and 32-inch screen size classes, all complete with swivel stand.
The top three models include Fine Motion Enhanced technology for 120 Hz Frame Rate Conversion, a 10-bit panel for Deep Colour compatibility and a special "dejudder" feature.
As well as playing Blu-ray discs, the TVs also play DVD and CD content. Certain models of the TVs will go on sale in the States from this month, pricing tee bee cee.
