Digital Blue, a US company that makes electronics for the yoof market, has unveiled the NightVision Digital Video Camera and the U-Turn Digital Camera for kiddies at CES.

Digital Blue's NightVision Video Camera lets users see and record video in pitch black conditions with infrared technology that can shoot up to 20 feet away.

Designed for kids and teens, Digital Blue says the NightVision lets them have fun exploring, camping, or "having stealthy adventures in the dark".

The recorded videos can be played back on the camera's 2-inch LCD screen and transfered to a PC. The camcorder features a built-in flashlight for safety, and a daytime recording mode.

Digital Blue's U-Turn Digital Camera offers a 2.4-inch LCD view screen that swivels from back to front so kids can see themselves in the viewfinder before morphing the pics with a push of a button.

Offering "hilarious fun-house effects like stretchy head, swirls, and squatty view", the U-Turn also works like a regular digital camera, shooting and storing up to 80 photos at a time.

Digital Blue's NightVision effort will be available in the summer for $79.99 while the U-Turn will be priced at $49.99 when it launches in the spring.
