Samsung has announced the 10-megapixel PL60 camera, that it describes as perfect for those looking for a "slim compact without compromising on great photographic features".

Many features of the PL60 mirror those we've already seen in Samsung's CES line up, including things such as dual image stabilisation, face detection, 11-mode Smart Scene Recognition and Samsung's "Beauty Shot" feature that makes sure pictures are always as flattering as possible.

There's also the digital content management system that makes it quicker and easier to find photos thanks to the ability to automatically organise photos depending on what's in them such as the date, the colour or their themes.

The PL60 will be available from March 2009 and will be priced lower end at £129.
