Samsung has extended its family of full-HD digital camcorders with four new models - the HMX-H106, HMX-H105, HMX-H104, and HMX-H100.

The new H-Series offers full HD video, a Schneider Kreuznach Varioplan 37mm wide-angle HD lens with 10x optical zoom and optical image stabilisation, along with internal solid state drives to provide onboard memory.

The HMX-H106 is Samsung's new flagship full-HD digital camcorder, and the world's first to feature an internal 64GB SSD.

The HMX-H105 and HMX-H104 offer 32GB and 16GB SSDs, which can be expanded using an SD/SDHC memory card.

The camcorders utilise H.264 compression, which Samsung says significantly increases recording time claiming 12 hours for the 64GB HMX-H106.

There's also direct HDMI connections, built-in strobe flash and the ability to capture 4.7-megapixel digital still photos.

The camcorders feature a 1/4.5-inch high performance CMOS imaging sensor, a 2.7-inch touchscreen swiveling LCD, and a "Time Lapse" mode that can record images at 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, or 30 second intervals, saving each image as a movie file.

Also launched is Samsung's new HMX-R10, which is a CMOS-based full-HD digital camcorder that's capable of capturing 9-megapixel digital still photos and offers a 5x optical zoom and swiveling 2.7-inch touch screen LCD.

The HMX-R10 also offers an ergonomic form factor that Samsung says allows users to hold the camcorder more comfortably.

With the lens angled at 25 degrees, the company says the user can grip the camcorder in a more relaxed manner reducing wrist stress.

Finally, Samsung is showing off the SMX-F34, described as the company's next generation YouTube-compatible compact digital camcorder.

The SMX-F34 offers battery life of up to three hours, Schneider optics, built-in memory, digital still photo capability, and Samsung’s 42x Intelli-Zoom.

The SMX-F34 features a memory card slot for SD/SDHC and 16GB of internal flash memory. Samsung says thanks to H.264 compression, users can record up to eight hours of standard definition video when using the 16GB built-in memory.

With a CCD sensor that delivers a resolution of 720 x 480, there is a "Web & Mobile" shooting mode that allows users to record in the exact format and resolution required by YouTube, meaning faster upload times.

The SMX-F34 will be available in four colours, including midnight black, sunset red, galaxy silver, and deep ocean blue, all with silver trim, and will feature Samsung's swivel hand-grip.
