LG has announced that it will be launching a mobile phone watch later in the year.

The new phone watch will be a fully functioning mobile phone as well as an MP3 player.

"It's something you expect to see in a 007 movie", said Dr Woo Paik - president and CTO LG.

Sounding similar to the concept product Pocket-lint brought you news of from the phone company's MWC stand earlier in 2008, the GD910 will be the first such HSDPA effort to debut.

With a 1.43-inch colour touchscreen, the tiny device will offer video conference capabilities with a video camera built into the watch's face.

In addition there will be MP3 file support, "Text To Speech" capabilities offering voice dialling with speech recognition and Bluetooth.

As yet there are no details on when the watch will be launched.
