Motorola has announced the development of a remote control that is rechargable, so needs no batteries and offers a "find" function for those many "where the heck's the remote?" moments.

An accessory for its IPTV set top boxes, the new remote and its base station are armed with RF (radio frequency) "find" functionality.

A press of a switch on the base station triggers an audible tone and flashing light on all remote controls to help lead consumers to a missing unit.
