Pocket-lint has launched a Members Only area for gadget, gear and gizmo fans to get their technology fix and give readers a host of new features alongside its current offering.
As part of the new service members will be able to view all the pages on pocket-lint faster and quicker without the distraction of adverts spelling the end to text links, pop-ups, pop-unders as well as more traditional advert formats.
Paid up members will also be able to view reviews 3 days before the rest of the site keeping them “in the know” and ahead of the crowd.
Additionally, Members will also have first access 2 weeks ahead of non-paying members to a series of new columist pieces that the site will be publishing.
Birds Eye View will give readers a girl's perspective on the latest gadget trends and fashions while Old Father Gadget will be retelling us his gadget experiences of yesteryear in a series titled My First…
The site has also signed up Photographyblog.com's Mark Goldstein to tell readers what's what in the world of Digital Cameras and the MD of Plantronics Europe helping readers get the most out of working away from the office.
If that wasn't enough the gadget site will also be having regular features called I Need It… looking at gadgets you won't be able to live without.
Members will also get access to a News and Reviews Alerts system that automatically emails them all the latest news and reviews on a specified subject, keyword or company as it happens.
Pocket-lint has also created GeekFriend. A service, which the site describes, is like having all the benefits of knowing a geek without having to sit down the pub and be his friend.
Members will also get access to member's only competitions as well as special promotions from time to time.
Membership costs £2.50 a month, £6 a quarter or £20 for a whole year.
Readers can sign up at www.pocket-lint.co.uk/signup.php
