Sony has leaked details of its upcoming netbook on its own Sony Style website ahead of the official launch expected at CES in January.

The new model will sport an Intel Atom 1.33GHz CPU and feature an 8-inch screen. Other features include a 60GB hard drive, and Windows Vista Premium or Windows Vista Home Basic rather than Linux.

Although the information has turned up on the Sony Style website, the new "P-series" Vaio as it will be called, has yet to be given a price or battery life specs - even the image is the Sony Vaio TT - suggesting the listing is a mistake.

Other features supposedly include a 1600 × 768 resolution and the ability to upgrade the hard drive from 60GB to a 128GB SSD drive.

We will keep you posted.
