MacBook Air rival officially incoming

The rumour that Dell is preparing to launch an ultra-slim laptop dubbed "Adamo" has been confirmed by the PC maker.

Leaked by luxury lifestyle blog UptownLife who had been paid to get the message out, a Dell spokesperson confirmed the blog ad to the New York Times' Ashlee Vance.

"We did this to wake up the personal computing category and create some buzz", the spokesperson said.

Dell won't reveal specs, or even that the laptop is to launch as a MacBook Air rival, but all is expected to be officially unveiled soon - we'll keep you informed.
