Siemens presents ST55 with integrated camera

The new ST55 from Siemens Information and Communication Mobile (Siemens mobile) is equipped for all multimedia applications. With its high-resolution TFT color display, MMS technology and integrated VGA camera including a 4x zoom and 5-way joystick, the ST55 offers all the technical features for using multimedia services and portals.

The look and feel of this sophisticated camera phone have been superbly crafted: small, light and with a luxury exterior in metallic look, the Siemens ST55 makes its mark with an elegant, modern design. With its compact size - 98.5 x 47.2 x 21.6 millimeters - and weight of only 87 grams, it is handy for both work and leisure. Stylish too, the 5-way convenient to use joystick navigation is not only practical but also sets new design standards.

The large TFT color display of 65,000 brilliant colors and a resolution of 120 x 160 pixels ensure excellent entertainment quality. Whether you're sending and receiving photos by MMS, using the games functions or even planning your schedule. The ST55 isn't just for taking snapshots; it lets you capture details using the 4x zoom of the integrated VGA camera. With an inbuilt photo album keeping pictures of your favorite moments, enough space is provided (around1,2 Mb) for a host of photos.

Features such as polyphonic ringtones, which you can compose yourself in 40-tone sound quality, offers an opportunity for personalization. Additional ringtones and logos can be downloaded from the Web or via WAP 2.0; and with GPRS 10 the ST55 ensures rapid page setup. And of course there are on-board strategy and action games for your entertainment.

In addition to fun and leisure, the Siemens ST55 also provides a whole range of office applications. The detailed address book, with 15 fields per entry, guarantees optimum contact management, whilst its calendar and reminder functions can organize your time whether you're at work or play, even faxes can be sent and received on the phone. Energy efficient too, the ST55 switches off automatically at a time pre-defined by the user.

The Siemens ST55 has a standby time of up to 140 hours and a talk time of about 4.5 hours. The standard package includes the ST55 handset, Li-Ion battery with 750 mAh power, mains charger and a user guide. The camera phone will be available across Europe from August.

The available accessories include a Headset PTT, a serial Data Cable, a Li-Ion Battery 750 mAh and EU or UK charger.
