Sky's music service to cost from £5.99?

Leak sees mystery subscriptions priced

Sky's announced, but as yet not launched, mysterious music subscription service has been priced by an "industry source".

The leak to Music Ally gives more pricing information for Sky's forthcoming UK digital music subscription service, announced back in July in partnership with Universal.

The service is said to offer access to unlimited free streaming, plus a set number of MP3 downloads each month and will apparently be priced at £5.99 for five downloads, £7.99 for ten and £9.99 for 15.

The mix of streaming and downloading - as well as a Universal-only music catalogue - might not be enough to tempt UK consumers who have an increasingly wide choice when it comes to music downloads.
