Britain’s first single-digit tariff

3 offers £9 monthly contract

22 December 2008 10:41 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

3 has launched a £9 per month tariff, describing it as Britain's best value offering.

The new Mix & Match 100, available from 23 December, includes 100 minutes or texts (or any mix of the two), free voicemail, 300 3 to 3 minutes, free Skype chat and calls and free Windows Live Messenger.

Handset-wise, the Mix & Match 100 is available with the HSDPA Sony Ericsson K660i for free in silver on black or lime on white, which is an exclusive colour for 3.

Marc Allera, sales and marketing director, 3 UK said: "Delivering value to consumers has always been a priority, that’s why we’re the first and only mobile network to try to take the worry out of at least one bill a month with the UK’s first ever £9 tariff. The current economic climate means that we’re more committed than ever to finding ways to pass savings to consumers".
