"Create a document" button added

Google has announced that it's added yet another tool for its gmail online email users as it continues to try and offer more than the competition.

While Yahoo was busy announcing a new and improved online inbox, Google has added the ability to "Create a document" from within the service.

The new tool, still in Gmail Labs status means that users will be able to create a Google document from an email at the press of a button.

Google say the move will mean that users no longer have to copy and paste text from an email something that Google seems to think took people longer than necessary.

Taking the integration one step further, Google has even added new keyboard shortcuts to the email service that allow you to open up a blank document so you can cut and paste your email.

To turn on this feature, go to the Gmail Labs tab under Settings, select "Enable" next to "Create a document" and hit "Save Changes" at the bottom.
