We've brought you news that Palm is planning "new-ness" for January's CES show and it seems that new-ness has a name. The company's long-awaited new operating system, due to be revealed at the event, is apparently code-named "Nova".
BusinessWeek reports that as well as the software, Palm will unveil the first of a family of Nova products that will go on sale from mid-2009.
The goal for Nova is said to be to create products that bridge the gap between RIM's BlackBerry devices and Apple's iPhone.
Palm insiders speaking to BusinessWeek promise great things: "I'm fundamentally convinced we're onto something huge", says Mike Bell, a 16-year Apple engineering staffer that jumped ship to Palm last year.
"Some of the stuff we're working on here is mind-blowing - better than anything I've seen before".
Pocket-lint is attending CES and we'll bring you all the Palm news as it happens. Phones, Mobile phones, Palm, Rumours, CES2009
