Sony is preparing to launch a new Walkman model that would hit the market as a direct competitor to the Apple iPod touch, it's being reported.
The rumours see the new MP3 player launching at January's CES show that takes place in Las Vegas.
What will be Sony's first touchscreen player is said to get a 3-inch OLED screen which should bode well for both image quality and battery life.
Said to be available in 16GB and 32GB capacities, the mystery model is rumoured to get Wi-Fi support, a built-in browser and RSS functionality.
Other web-based features are said to be clicking through from an artist's name to see their YouTube videos.
All just rumours at this stage, Pocket-lint will be out at CES so will bring you all the official Walkman news then.
