Credit Crunch Christmas: TomTom ONE Assist

Pocket-lint's Advent calendar of gift ideas: 15 days to go

11 December 2008 11:36 GMT / By Ben Crompton

Today we have a travel related Christmas bargain in the form of the TomTom ONE Assist.

Not only is it a good GPS offering (winning the Pocket-lint Award for Best Car Gadget) but it is currently available from Amazon.co.uk at the competitive price of £92.47, down from £127.18.

The real bonus is that the "Assist" model comes with 1 year's free breakdown cover and - thanks to Amazon's super saver scheme - delivery won't cost you a penny either.

You can start the breakdown cover at any point between the time of your purchase and July 2009. Which means even if the recipient of the pressie already has breakdown cover that isn't up for renewal just yet, they will still be able get the benefits when it does.

So if you have a loved one you want to see safe on the roads, a motoring mad chum or a dad whose Bedford is a bit of a banger, this could be the ideal gift for them.

There is a link below to the Amazon website and more Christmas gift ideas tomorrow.
