PRESS RELEASE: Toshiba has updated its Stasia range of flat panel TVs with new 20-inch (20VL33) and 15-inch (15VL33) LCD models. These 4:3 LCD TVs combine a sharp, clear-cut picture quality with a sleek new silver design. Both models are available in store now.The two new small-screen models join the existing 26-inch (26WL36) and 32-inch (32WL36) LCD TVs and the 42-inch (42WP36) Plasma TV from Toshiba's Stasia range.
“With the rapid take-up of LCD technology we need to ensure that our LCD TVs remain an appealing option for consumers. A major influencing factor determining whether or not someone purchases an LCD TV is its appearance. For this reason we have introduced a new design to our small screen LCD TVs to compliment our innovative image technology”, says Simon Heape, Toshiba's senior marketing manager for CTV.
Small Screen LCD TVs:
· 20VL33 - 20-inch (51cm) 4:3 LCD TV
· 15VL33 - 15-inch (38cm) 4:3 LCD TV
With a small footprint and depths of just 20cm (20VL33) and 16cm (15VL33) these LCD TVs are ideally suited as a second-set for the bedroom or kitchen or as a ‘roaming set' to take between rooms. Wide 170 (20VL33) and 120 (15VL33) degree viewing angles mean everyone in the room gets to see the picture wherever they are. Each TV comes with an elegant pedestal stand and wall brackets are available if required.
Colour performance is bright and sharp thanks to a 400:1 contrast ratio and a high screen luminance of 450cd/m2. High picture quality is also assured with an XGA resolution of 1024 x 768 for the 15VL33 and VGA resolution for the 20VL33.
Both sets are equipped with NICAM Stereo sound and offer simple connection to other home entertainment equipment thanks to: SCART sockets (two SCART sockets for 20VL33; one for 15VL33), S-VHS and AV inputs and a PC compatible connection for maximum versatility in the home.
