Microsoft says 90% Vista users satisfied

Nine out of 10 happy

Microsoft has boasted that a high percentage of Vista users are mostly satisfied with the company's latest operating system.

UK Windows product manager Laurence Painell told Silicon.com: "We're now seeing that nine out of 10 customers that are using Vista are either satisfied or very satisfied with the experiences that they are having on a regular basis".

The data apparently comes from in-house Microsoft research. Vista has been the company's fastest selling OS with around 180 million licences sold in August this year, although this figure will include licences sold as part of the XP downgrade scheme.

Painell also revealed that Vista now supports more than 77,000 devices and 2700 software packages.
