Intempo Digital has turned to fashion designer Matthew Williamson for a second time to spruce up one of its digital DAB radios.

The new model called the KTM-02 is a ‘haute couture' version of Intempo's KT range of DAB digital radios. Williamson has designed the radio fascia, inspired by the delicate ‘Tokyo Georgette' print taken from his latest fashion collection. Intempo believes that pattern in the home is set to be a huge trend for 2006 and its partnership with Matthew Williamson will help them conquer this new emerging market.

Design to one side, the dual band radio has eight preset buttons for favourite channels - four DAB stations and four FM stations. It is easy to switch between the two frequencies and listeners can scroll through the station list shown on the LCD screen.

As with all digital DAB radios, the screen will display the station, song and artist currently playing. The KTM-02 is mains and battery operated and also incorporates an alarm clock with sleep and snooze functionality.

Priced at £125, the KTM-02 will be available as a special charity edition exclusively from John Lewis. The ‘Make-A-Wish' Foundation UK, which raises money to grant the wishes of children aged three to 18 living with life-threatening illnesses, will benefit as Intempo donates a large number of radios for its charitable events and auctions throughout the year.
