Microsoft offers free Christmas templates

Make your own cards, gift tags and decs

Microsoft is offering free Christmas templates, this year angling them as a way for consumers to save money by DIY-ing their cards and the like.

The templates let Microsoft users create Christmas cards in Word, make their own Christmas banners that can be printed out, create and print gift tags and customise and print Santa Letters for kiddies.

There's also Christmas newsletter templates and a template to create a 2009 photo calendar as well as Christmas-themed clip art.

Christmas productivity is also taken care of with list templates, help with mail merge, party planning guides and Christmas card mailing lists.

The templates are available now for free download.
