LG has announced a move into online with the launch of a new image sharing website "Loop". The site lets users upload, comment, vote and win prizes on photos they have taken.

LG says that the Flickr-rivaling site gives consumers "the platform to share the special moments caught on their phones".

The only thing that sets Loop apart from the many other photo-sharing sites - apart form the excessive LG branding of course - is the site's ongoing competitions. Users can win a Renoir on a monthly basis, and there's the Pro v Joe challenge that sees amateurs take on professional photographers.

LG says there is also the chance of a user's pic being spotted to feature in future LG advertising campaign, although we'd advise thinking twice before agreeing to the company's Ts and Cs:

"You grant LG the royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive and fully sub-licensable right and licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display such Content (in whole or part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed".
