Apple slashes App Store prices too

More Black Friday discounts with apps offered from free

As well as the Black Friday inspired reductions on its hardware and software, Apple has implemented price cuts on the App Store for the iPhone and iPod touch.

Hundreds of apps have had their prices slashed for the next 24 hours with many now priced at 59p, and some even offered for free, Macworld reports.

Pangea Software, which makes iPhone games, has cut the price of all its games to 59p, including new games such as Bugdom 2, Nanosaur 2, and Billy Frontier.

Business software has also been reduced, with apps such as stock tracker Forex On The Go Premium now £2.99 and iSpend also cut to £2.99.

With many previously paid-for apps offered for free download for today only, but no central list to refer to, it seems a browse round the online store this Friday afternoon might be in order for iPhone and touch owners.
