Plextor launches pocket HDDs

1.8-inch 60GB and 120GB models on sale next month

27 November 2008 15:06 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

With a bold, and arguably wildly inaccurate claim, Plextor has unveiled the, "first truly pocket-sized external hard disk".

Plextor's pocket HDDs come in two sizes, the 60GB PX-PPH60U and the 120GB PX-PPH120U. The 1.8-inch USB 2.0 HDDs weigh in at 90 grams and can be used with both PCs and Macs.

Bus-powered and offering plug and play operation, the units measure 12mm thick, 90mm long and 62mm wide.

The Plextor PX-PPH60U and PX-PPH120U will be available from mid December 2008 at Plextor’s network of dealers. No pricing revealed.
