Credit Crunch Christmas: Sony PS3

Pocket-lint's Advent calendar of gift ideas: 23 days to go

2 December 2008 10:16 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

The PlayStation 3 needs no introduction, either as a console or a Blu-ray player, but what we feel is worth a mention is its new price tag in time for Christmas.

Sony Europe's online store Sony Style, is offering 40GB model for £249.99, including VAT, which is a saving of around £40 on its RRP.

Worth noting though, is that you can double your hard drive for just a tenner extra, with the 80GB model listed at £259.99.

In addition, shipping from Sony Style is free until the end of the month, so there's no hidden extra costs on that side of things to slip you up.

So if you've been waiting in the wings for the right time to buy a next-gen console either for yourself or the kids, that time might be now.

Tune in tomorrow for another Christmas bargain.
