Refine search for other members

The business orientated social networking website, LinkedIn, has rehauled its search options.

The team is now making it easier for members to find each other with a new search engine.

This allows members to refine their searches using more than a dozen data fields, including "name", "company", and "school".

There is also a new "In Common" feature which helps locate people who have shared connections.

LinkedIN adds that members can now also save searches and receive email reminders when a search finds someone that meets the specified criteria.

Esteban Kozak, senior product manager at LinkedIn, told Media Week that the rehaul is "redefining the way professionals go about finding talent, business partners, customers, or a former colleague".
