In second place is the HP Photosmart 385 Compact Printer with 14%, while third goes jointly to the Canon 350D digital camera and the TomTom's GPS unit the Go 700, both with 11%.
This week however saw a surge of votes for the uConnect VoIP box using Skype as fans of the device showed their support.
With over 2 weeks to go before voting finishes there is still plenty of chance to have your say in what you think should be crowned King of the gadgets for 2005.
Should it be Sony's handheld games console? Or what about Dyson's vacuum cleaner - The Ball? Every nomination for the 12 categories can be voted for.
The awards will be held on the 1 December 2005 and include any product that has been launched in the UK since 1 December 2004.
There are 13 categories including the Pocket-lint Readers Award sponsored by Vodafone where you will have your say rather than the judges on the best gadget from all the nominations of 2005.
