As sports go, kayaking isn't exactly the most sedate or risk-free. All those whitewater rapids and the perpetual risk of drowning. Let's face it: the first thing they teach you is how to escape when not if you capsize.

So naturally, put the word "extreme" in front of the word "kayaking" and just about anything is possible.
